Hi Guys,
Ive Been producing Dnb for some time now but i have recently become quite stumped as the music has changed its sound, that phat womp noises used in tracks like TC's Game over i just cant seem to get them to sound so phat, anyone know what type of wave form is best for such an effect, your help and advice would be greatly apprciated, also anyone know of any kool new intstruments for cubase that may have this sound.....Also i mentioned ive had trouble since the music has changed, there are alot of high pitched sounds being used by prducers such as clipz and the mighty DJ HAZARD, again which waveform or combination of of waveforms is best for getting that almost kettle whistle type sound. and yes once agin are there any vst instruments im missing out on that have these sounds.
Thanks for your time

The way i found best is to mainipulate sub samples with effects from VST Instruments then on Reason I add a distortion to beef it up.
See what you think I used this method on 'Bad mans Bible' & 'Rasta Flutes'

| i would advise u to get massive by native instruments it is amazing the sound u can get out of a saw wave on this synth.there are loads of pre-sets.it is quite hard to get to grips with this vst but once u start to work it out the sounds that start coming out of it are SICK. there is a sub-focus tutorial on you tube that gives u an idea of wot the instrument is capable of and i think there is also a danny byrd add on which has the bass sounds you are after. |
