need a hand deciding which monitors to purchase as i know very very little about them....?
music genre is generally trip hop/psy trance..

BY FAR the best monitors for you to get at the moment are the Alesis M1 Active 620's. They're absolutely amazing for the very low price, and are extremely high quality.
I'm a psytrance producer from south africa, where everything costs 3x more (no exaggeration.) and these are what 3 of my fellow producers are using.
Tight-yet-full bass, strong mid's, slightly exaggerated hi's.

Stay away from the Rockits, they're the predecessor to these babies.
