I've noticed a few discussions here regarding getting your music out into the crazy world for say, a job or getting paid to make beats or whatever. If you didn't realize or just never knew, there's a fancy little book out there called Songwriter's Market 2006, 2007, etc. etc....it's updated every year; you can find a copy on Amazon. The book contains publishers, record labels, producers, etc. who are always in the market (no pun intended) for new talent or maybe just want to buy a song. The book contains e-mail addresses, contact names with phone numbers, the style of music they are seeking, whether it accepts solicited or unsolicited material & most important, how to send your material to them; ie. how to package your material & what to include. I got a 2006 copy a year ago & thought it was an awesome, extremely helpful book; I, however, have yet to send any of my tracks or even contact somebody from it (I'm one of those people who are never ever satisfied with my work). Hope this helps, & I hope the book provides some spiritual guidance for all the talent on this site.
