i just thought that i would post this up here ... i have a USB mic (Snowball) b/c there was a sale at Guitar Center one day. however, USB mics have a delay that you will notice if you are trying to sing/rap along to the beat. what you have to do is set up the "hardware recording latency" to a negative number. i have mine set to -87 and it works perfectly.

i don't intend to use this mic forever but i figured that other people might use one b/c it's pretty cheap and decent quality.
