What a gem!
I love the crunchiness and how it's seems to be gated against that bass, so when the bass comes in the crunchiness subsides somewhat...
real musical -- pretty melodies.
And the UFO that lands at 3:00 is pretty sweet too. :)
Nice knob twiddling.
Especially since it's such a long track, I think it would be okay to drop the crunchy noisy background thing at some point -- maybe during a break, just to let some other instrument shine through pure and clear.
Really, a great track and I hope you'll share more with us. |

Love the grit. Was a bit surprised when the legato lead entered. Real nice laid back feel. Easy to drift away to.
Congratulations on the win. |

thank you guys for your kind words, it's great to know there's actually a bunch of people out there who dig my stuff. wow. feels good.
your words are also a great source of motivation, working on some stuff right now but it will take some time. i am happily looking forward to the receipt of my ableton live 6 box which will add much more flexibility to my setup (la mer is a LIVE RECORDING ;)) |

You say this is a live recording??
Sounds very professional for a live recording. I'm amazed.
Well done. |

it is much simpler than one might think ;)
i use an akai mpc 1000 as my main sequencer/sampler. i created an 8 bar sequence with different tracks for my drums, bass, synthesizer solo and of course the celtic harp and than just let the sequencer play and then did the track muting and knob-twiddling live and recorded that. it was all very spontanious, i think did this on one day. |

| really like the track, very nice! my only criticism would be that it sounds too AIRy-we heard that LFO-ed pad somewhere before, haven't we? :) But nontheless, it's super sweet... |

Dude.....this track is gold!!!!
I have been playing it over and over while I study. Full marks on the recording (and you say it's live....WOW!). That lead hits me everytime. You fully deserve the win. |
