ok this is going to be hard to find again, but a few years ago I came upon a website that let you send them a wave file (or some sort of sound file) and then it was uploaded to a server that then triggered that same file to be played in this guy's barn or grain thingy holder. Ok I know that sounds pretty friggin ridiculous but trust me, it worked and was cool! Forgive me for not knowing what the damn thing was that the sound was played in, but it's one of those tall enclosures that farmers usually store their crap in :)
Anyways when I saw it, people would post anything on there. You could make a wave file that had you saying "holy crap!" and then in a matter of seconds or so, it played through the speaker in that barnish thing, giving it that crazy natural reverb.

Anyone ever hear of anything like this before?
My memory sucks obviously, but hey that's what I remember.

So to sum up.
basically a place to hear your own file, played in some random space.

Thanks for any info,
Eric

I LOVE THAT SITE! They set it up in 1996 or 1997 I think when I first saw it which -- for the time being -- was WAY cutting edge.

http://www.silophone.net

It's the "silophone".

The interface is a little wonky/cryptic, but I think it's still online.

YES! That's it!
Unfortunately I'm at work and on a computer that can't seem to load the page, but the name totally struck a chord in my brain!
It's a silo not a barn! :)

Thanks a bunch.... I'll have to check out that other link too in the previous post.
I wish I woulda known about this earlier for some reason I didn't get the "someone replied" email. Damn junk mail filters!

Thanks again
Eric
