Damn yo! You've got some mad FL skills.
I've never heard anything this good made in FL.
The melody is so funky.
Respect!

This sounds surprisingly mainstream..

and yes, calling your sound mainstream is a complement.

Great piece, nice production & nice melodies.

How much of the musical stuff was performed vs. looped? (e.g. guitar, vibes) ?

thanks for the feedback guys.

in this track the only thing that was performed live were the vocals. none of the sounds were taken from "loops", though, all the melodies and rhythms were programmed in manually.

Overall sounds nice, and mad props for doin hiphop but that chord progression has been done a million times. I could name atleast 5 hiphop songs with very similar music but still I like your interpretation of it :)

Sick beat. You just raised my opinion of FL Studio tenfold! I now see that in capable hands, it is a powerful tool. Nice to see a gem like yours amidst a sea of dirty south fake gangsta look alike (which I thought was the only thing you could do with FL, besides Techno). REALLY nice beat, and the rap is sick.

EDIT:: OH YEAH MONTRÉAL!!!! Parles-tu français?

its a pretty much note for note copy of ghostwriter by RJD2
still sounds pretty well put together, although you definitely need to go back and clean up the mix as its peaking everywhere

big-ups, mixwell!

i dig it... funky beat, the melodie's cool too & your rap's refreshingly clever... who'd've thought? hip-hop/rap with a brain! well done.

also checked out "bchill's" beats on myspace afterward...

i like most of it better than what "hip-hop" beats are popular nowadaze! clean, simple breaks, tasteful sampling & even some jazzy basslines.

WOW!

Dude, your stuff is rediculous. I hear stuff like this and it reminds me of how very wack the industry is. Your joints should be all over the airwaves. And I'm not even a rap fan, persay. But I love creative and imaginative material. Your vibe is exactly the kind of stuff that makes me excited about music. Keep doin' your thing. Hope to hear big things from you in the very near future.
