this song RULES.

is it the only industrial song you've done so far...
or the only one you ever plan to do?

I pray it's not the latter.

Fantastic song. The only thing I would suggest is to cut out the strings. They are a bit ear-piercing.

Cheers :) It's the only industrial song I've done to not somehow involve "real" (bar the vocals) instruments and be closer to the trad. industrial genre. ie. KMFDM et all.
I have done some industrial-ish stuff in other genres though-

zeleftikam- cheers for the strings comment- other people have commented on that too- perhaps something I need to look into? Anyway, thanks-

Lyrics- kind of hard to make out, in the song- can be found here: http://mattbentley.muzic.net.nz/lyrics/america.txt
basically it's a rant against america's foreign policy- but not against americans (just in case someone misunderstood from the title).
Cheers

This is a wonderful industrial piece in the old school vein. Terrific recording...I dunno anything about piercing strings.

Peace.

It's probably just too much high-f harmonic distortion, on the strings - problem's only really apparent on smaller speakers, but it's there-

Okay...upon another listen at higher volume, I can hear what you are saying. Unfortunately, my hearing doesn't register so well in the highs, especially the right ear-- I firmly blame Ministry, who I have seen 6 times and will never, ever go see live again. Anyone who's seen Ministry is in understanding, I think.

I wasn't so much trying to argue (though Virgo I be), but I am trying to now agree. :)

Peace.

No no- I wasn't arguing either, really, just apologizing :) For a small oversight- on my part-
Cheers,
Matt

This is a great, great song. Normally I don't dig big noisy stuff but the combination of epic synth lines with angry vox and big drums works really well here.

The string breakdown at 3:04 is so gorgeous, I think it's too bad that it ges relegated to the fade out. I think the song's energy would be great if that breakdown *also* appeared somewhere in the middle, then went into the heavy stuff again.

Hello! I'm not heavy into industrial/hardcore style, but your song is pretty damn good. There really is nothing wrong with it, I like my songs to be loud and aggressive. Keep up the good work!!
