I can totally see that.

I did a new mix of this track with the drums way pumped up -- and as a whole, overcompressing/limiting the shit out of the track to make it stand out.

I uploaded it to the diesel competition. If you drop by, give it a vote! :)

Then select united states (and/or electronic music) and browse to ontology.

Frustrating, there's no way to link to an actual URL on that site. :/

Yep, that done the job.
That track is really growing on me you know. It's full of character and catchy melodies. If pushed to criticise, i would say the snare could be a tiny bit louder still (sorry). I guess you can't please all the people all the time. Sounds nicer every time i hear it though.

Your other tracks are pretty cool too. Good luck with that comp.

The strings are really cool. I like the bass too! Overall, a great song.

One crit though, I'd say at 0:23 where that squelchy synth comes in, you should have panned it going from left to right I think rather than just having it playing in the right speaker. But, it's cool, I downloaded it to my HD ;).

Btw, I thought I'd sign up for the diesel contest too! You never know unless you try I guess :P. Cheers for announcing that contest Canton and good luck with it too ;).

well what can i say to that pure wickedness all the way. very mellow it has so many elements (old school jungle jazz chilled dnb) loving the strings and the back ground riffs and the reversd bass to
a very soft tune but still has the drive of a modern classic could be big back here in uk :)

Awesome track. I especially enjoyed the intro with the strings and the beeps. I absolutely love Atmospheric drum&bass and I don't know if you were aiming for that genre, but I think it's soothing and relaxing. The drums aren't too powerful which for me, makes it a perfect rendition to this laid back tune. It just has a nice flow.
Jim.
