OH MY GOD, what a question... ok here goes...

I'm somewhat new to samples, so I'll fireaway my best to ask it

Like many of you I have a boatload of samples. I have no problems using one shots like drum samples, that's simple _ I'm a drummer anyway, so...

what I struggle with is applying SYNTH samples. There's ton of Sample CD's with just these long drawn out C held down on a synth. Then the next sample is C#, then D, D#, and so forth. These can be a whole note that lasts for like 16seconds sometimes? So say this is a Sample CD of a Roland SH101, how am I supposed to take a 16second sample and make my Live Sampler/Simpler sound like an Sh101...

beats I can do....

help

Create an instance of Sampler in Live.

Drag the instrument sample into Sampler.

Play notes.

Should be it.

If you want a SH101 sound check this out.

Do you know about VST's?
