This site is GREAT!!!! It's like the only one that acctually has FREE samples to download. I am kinda new to the musical world and I dont have much experiaance at being a DJ, but I am aiming to change that. So dont talk to me about vst's cause I dont know what the hell they are. At the moment I am using Fruity Loops 8, cause its awesome. Well mainly because I saw all the awesome tracks you can make with it, Sonix1241 vid on youtube blew me away, WOW!!! I like trance style music so thats what Im gonna make first. Anyways, Thanks so much to the person who told me to use this site, It's Awsome!!!

THE SAMPLES ARE FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plz keep it that way :P

mostly i do trance tracks and iv gotta agree with ya, fl studio is the best DAW to start out with if your new to the art of music making.
Dance Music:-) lol..
nah i mean any music.
not so long ago i had no idea of what vsts were, synths and all that other stuff. but i downloaded this thing called the fl Bible.. and yeah, iv been banging out beats like crazy. it has good in-depth explaining for most of the features in fl studio.
you can google search it if you dont already have it.
but remember, the tools are just there to help you express your ideas.
the real instrament behind the music is you

Yeah virtual dj is pretty good.. another piece of dj software worth having is deckadance.

Deckadance is a DJ mixing application that works as a standalone program OR as a VSTi plugin inside your favourite host. Control Deckadance using your mouse, keyboard, midi controller, timecoded vinyl and/or CD system. No other DJ software supports more control formats and is as committed to 3rd party controller support as Deckadance.

Image-Line, the company behind Deckadance, has more than 10 years experience developing and managing class-leading audio software such as FL Studio. During Deckadance's development, we didn't just bring in some consulting DJs to tell our software engineers what they wanted. Deckadance was written by DJs for DJs, so we are confident that it will take your DJing to the next level with features that make total sense.

Of course, if you suck as a DJ, you will still suck using Deckadance, but you will suck better, faster, harder and more creatively than ever before!

HA,Australia ftw man! Well,Fl whoops if you ask me,its what i use,its really simple to use i find.Okay now just to piss you off with a VST,if your after a good one,im thinking Sylenth1,its aweeeesome and there are heaps of sound banks for it,sound bank is basically a set of sounds,so there could be 20 or 600 sounds in a bank, also look out for Z3ta+ its the same with the banks and stuff, its set out in a similar way as Sylenth1 so if you get one you should be able to use the other.
As for good Dj programs you cant go past Traktor by native instruments,in my opinion they make the best software and some of the better hardware for Dj'ing and yes,as for the "free" bit,im so so so happy i found this site, its FUCKING AWESOME!!

This is one i made on fl,check it out and see what ya think, its fairly deadmau5'y haha =)
