Hi guys

I´m not produce any songs, only take some tracks to mix "in-key" and put some samples on it.

My first programm was Mixmeister Fusion and then Magix Samplitude. Now im starting with Ableton Live to tune up the megamix with some effects.

Regards, Dirk

I use Reason 4almost exclusively with an Oxygen8. I have Ableton Live and am slowly figuring it out. I have been creating loops with Reason, then expoting them to LIVE.

I enjoyed seeing the results.
I've been using Reason for years. People should also know that even though it's a great tool the producer has to create the music. Some people think you just press a button or 2 and make a whole song. Reason is just so extensive that you could lose yourself in a corner of it and spend the rest of your life on it. Great program.

I first got my feet wet with Buzz years ago. It's very functional and to the point.

Although I think Reason and Rebirth are great, these days I prefer to use real synths/machines. It's less convenient but more fun IMO. :)

I've never used any of that and hopefully never will (no offense). I use SoundRecorder32 and GoldWave for sound and Sony Vegas for video.

All my stuff is free and I just finished a video album made entirely from the british sitcom Fawlty Towers and SampleSwap samples.

Cheers,
Fortyone

hi, I startet with hardware like the Roland MC-303, Yamaha QY-10 Sequencer and an master-keyboard. Now I'm using ableton with a few plugins, midi-keyboard and the Akai APC 40. I'm very happy with it! Before I used acid but I didn't like.

I used Fruity for a long time but eventually switched to just multitracking on the computer using Ardour (Ubuntu Studio) with Synths, Guitars and the like (I would hesitate to say 'real' instruments because anything that can make a sound is 'real'). I like to play the parts manually or sometimes sequence on an Alesis MMT8. Also use Hydrogen on occasion.

I'm surprised that Reaper www.reaper.fm isn't on the list. I have had a go with that and it seemed really easy to use and fairly priced (license for small commercial / educational / personal use is only $60).
