I'm from Chicago and it definitely appeals to me. The beat is pretty dope, I can tell a lot of time went into it. Good production value. What I like the most though are the lyrics and the subject matter. This joint has a real positive message that is lacking in mainstream music. Keep up the good work bro.

Wow, thanks for constructive input! You really made my day with your comments, because I have put a lot of time into producing and finetuning this beat. I sadly feel now though that I have overproduced it and kind've hit the wall as I feel it still isn't finished. |

The only thing that I think is missing from the beat is maybe some cymbal crashes. I use them to emphasize the 1st beat in every couple bars in my beats. They have some pretty decent ones on this site. If you can't find anything that you like, I have a folder I can send you with nice crashes/rides etc.
