AIFF SOUND FORMAT INFORMATION

Last Updated: April 2010

Hey, many of these are ".aif" samples. What are those? Do you have any ".wav" samples?

Many of the sounds in this collection are 16-bit 44khz AIFF format sounds. AIFF is very similar to WAV, and most professional audio programs that can read either file type equally well. If your software can't deal with AIFF or WAV files, do a quick google search for 'free software convert aif wav' and you'll find a ton of stuff that can save from one format to the other.

Some AIF samples include embedded meta data (e.g. Apple Loops transient markers) but software that does not support this meta data will discard it without complaint.

Check the APPLICATIONS folder in the collection, this might have some software that can help you out.
